The FIA has announced that from 2010 the British GP will move to Donington Park. It’s a return to the East Midlands circuit after 17 years, which last hosted the Grand Prix of Europe in 1993. To bring the circuit up to scratch for the Formula One crowd Donington Park has announced it will commence a 5-year, £100m investment programme.
Saab GB on administration
Saab Great Britain Ltd (Saab GB) has filed for administration in the High Court as Swedish Automobile N.V. (Swan) fails to conclude a deal with China. It’s a wonder it’s taken so long.
When National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) bought Saab they planned to produce electric Saabs. But now they’re looking at relaunching the 9-3 with an ICE engine. Finally, after what seemed decades of trying to find a way to divest itself of Saab, GM agreed a deal with National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) to take the reluctant Griffin down the dead-end route of mainstream electric cars.
